Tournament grades

Race tournaments are divided into five grades. The SG tournament is the most prestigious and is held eight times a year followed by the G1, G2, G3, and General grades.
Racers must qualify to enter tournament grades G2 and above. The higher the grade of the tournament, the more the prize money.

Boat racer rankings

Boat racers are ranked in four classes, starting from the highest rank of A1 down to A2, B1, and B2. The winning average over a six-month period determines which rank the racer belongs to.
The higher the racer's rank is, the more days he/she is allowed to race and the more chances he/she has for entering higher tournament grades.

	Only the top 20% of all racers achieve this rank. SG and G1 tournament races are exclusively for A1 racers.
	These are the top 20% of all racers excluding A1-class racers. An A2-class racer is usually the favorite in general tournament races.
	This class has the top 50% of all racers excluding A1 and A2-class racers. Because there are so many racers in this class, the difference between a high and low ranking B1 racer can be huge in terms of skill.
	All of the racers not in the A1, A2, and B1 classes fall into this class. This class includes racers that race less frequently due to various reasons, including injuries.
